RoHS
RoHS stands for "Restriction of Hazardous Substances" and refers to the EU Directive 2011/65/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council of 8 June 2011 on the restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment. The current directive (RoHS 2) replaced the previous directive 2002/95/EC (RoHS 1) on 3 January 2013.
The following substances may be contained in homogeneous materials at a maximum of 0.1 % by weight each:
Lead, mercury, cadmium, hexavalent chromium, PBB, PBDE, DEHP, BBP, DBP and DIBP.
